History of the Laugh-Along Company
Laugh-Along began in the back room of a local Brooklyn deli. When master artist Alfredo Gucciardo wasn't serving customers in his father's deli shop, he was doodling cartoons in his sketch pad. Receiving positive feedback from eye-balling customers gave Alfredo the confidence to begin using his cartoon creations to help promote his father's deli. His father never really liked his cartoons, but a chance meeting with the art director of the New York Times (he came into the shop to satisfy his craving for beef jerky) landed Alfredo the job of his dreams. No longer would he be stuck making sausages and sweeping floors...Alfredo was off to the big leagues!
As fate would have it, one day Alfredo's boss at the Times slipped on some debris, which had fallen from Alfredo's shrimp and avocado sandwich. Twisting his ankle, Alfredo's boss fired him on the spot. Alone, destitute, and without gainful employment, Alfredo didn't know where to turn. Yet upon visiting his dying father in the hospital, Alfredo heard these words whispered from his father's lips, "Son, you were a lousy employee, and I never cared much for your artistic talents...but that said, why not start an online stock cartoon agency?" With that, his father slipped away...passed on...pulled up a stool at the great Delicatessen in the sky, you might say.
